Do I need an account?

No. The app does not ask who you are and never collects your name, email address or contact list. The songs, playlists and settings you keep in the app live on your phone and are not uploaded.

What does the app send to you?

Only what it needs to stay working. It checks our servers for updates and sends a report when it crashes. These requests carry your device's IP address; a crash report adds the phone model, Android version, app version and what the app was doing. We use it to keep the app reachable and to fix faults, never to profile you, and we never sell it.

Why are there ads, and who shows them?

Ads keep the app free. They are placed through CAS.AI (Clever Ads Solutions), which picks an ad network for each slot. CAS.AI and the networks may receive your advertising ID, IP address, device and operating-system details, a rough location worked out from the IP address, and how you interacted with an ad, to choose ads, limit repeats and measure how ads perform. The networks are independent companies with their own policies:

Can I limit ad tracking?

Yes. Reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android settings, under Privacy or Ads; a deleted ID can no longer be used for personalised ads. Where the law requires consent, the app asks before showing personalised ads and passes your choice to the networks.

Are cookies used?

Not by this website. The app does not use cookies itself, though third-party libraries inside it may use them for their own services.

Who else handles my data?

Besides the ad partners above, the hosting and network companies that carry traffic between the app and our servers see the IP address it comes from, and may use it only to provide that service.

How is it protected?

With commercially reasonable safeguards. No way of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

What about links to other sites?

Sites we link to are run by others. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please read their policies.

Is the app for children?

No. It is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we find that a child has given us personal information, we delete it.

Will this policy change?

It may. The current version is always on this page and applies from the date shown above.
